FEATURE GALLERY:
There are regions of our West that look
out-of-this-world – alien landscapes of weirdly formed spires, sculpted ridges, hoodoos and gullies, and the grandest of canyons. Sculpted by centuries of wind and water, some were once covered by inland seas, others blanketed by verdant forests, many now transformed by the power of time and nature into rock-strewn deserts. No buildings interrupt the vast horizons.
No artificial lights overpower the night skies. These are photos of our truly natural world, tranquil and undisturbed, where sky and stone meet as Nature intended.
These photos were taken on trips to Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah during August and October, 2023.
